General Guidance

Netvio JP4 Series devices will work on most commercially available L2, L2+ or L3 Gigabit Ethernet Switches. There are essential criteria to ensure a successful installation. For ease of use, Netvio had tested a range of popular network switches and prepared specific set-up guides for your convenience.

Multicast

Multicast & Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) Version 2 enabled.

IGMP Snooping

IGMP Snooping enabled on all switches and in the AVoIP VLAN. IGMP Snooping Querier enabled on the stack or core switch

Jumbo Frames

Jumbo Frames enabled or increase the MTU size to maximum supported value of 9000+ bytes. Immediate or Fast Leave should be enabled in single switch systems.
